Data Analysis and Interpretation of Results

A unique algorithm translates scientific results to easily comprehensible, practically useful outputs.

The standard output of the spectral analysis of heart rate variability is the complete information on the measured person's performance in the individual frequency bands in both monitored positions. This information is represented by a set of several dozen absolute values – difficult to understand for the general public. Our method uses a unique algorithm that is based on years of research and verification in both scientific and sporting practice. Thanks to it, outputs retain their high informative value and are easy to understand. Their graphical outputs also allow for greater interpretation and application in practice.



Monitored parameters and their interpretation

PA - parasympathetic activity shows the level of regeneration.

The higher the value, the better the body is regenerated.






SY - sympathy activity shows the level of activation.

The lower the value, the more the body is activated, the greater the stress



This level of "stress" has a negative impact on the body. Therefore, the basic logic is preserved: negative effect = negative value.





TP - Total Power, shows the total activity of the autonomic nervous system not taking into account the influence of its individual parts.








SS - aggregate score, collectively evaluates the overall ANS activity as well as the activity and the mutual balance of both parts of the system (PA, SY).

Evaluation of the mutual relationship between the monitored parameters

The relationship is best illustrated graphically by a 2D chart, providing vital information about the activity of the systems being monitored, about the internal balance of the organism.

Monitor the location of the measurement result point

Upper Right Quadrant (1)

It is defined for positive values of PA and SY. Quadrant 1 shows the parasympathetic predominance of a healthy and sufficiently regenerated system. The optimal result in less intense training or at the end of the fine-tuning of form.


Lower Right Quadrant (2)

Here we find the intersections of positive PA values and negative SY values. High parasympathetic activity, but even more sympathetic activity. Quadrant 2 is the most common result of trained and healthy athletes during intensive training (optimal response to intense training).


Lower Left Quadrant (3)

The sympathetic activity prevails over the already diminished parasympathetic activity. This quadrant shows the results of insufficiently regenerated persons or persons in the initial phase of overloading, or sick persons.


Upper Left Quadrant (4)

Here we find the intersections of low parasympathetic activity and even lower sympathetic activity. This condition is typical for ill people or people in bad physical and mental condition. Long-term localization of results in left quadrants is incompatible with top sporting performance.

Observe the change in position of the result of the current measurement compared to the previous measurements

Just as important as tracking the location of the actual reset, is the evaluation of "parameter dynamics", the shift of the results from the previous measurement. The following basic principles apply:

Shift to the right - improving regeneration and energy replenishment.

Left shift - slowing regeneration and replenishing energy sources.

Shift down - activation of the organism and increasing stress (optimal response to stress).

Shift up - decrease of activation

Left-down shift - excessive load signal.

Scroll right-up - start of supercompensation.

The Current compensation level helps determine the appropriate mode for the next load. The value is determined on the basis of a complex comparison of the actual measurement with the results of previous measurements, with the so-called individual spectral profile.


Low - The body has not yet completely recovered from the previous load or the load was too low to produce an optimal adaptation reaction.

OK  - The body's response is optimal for continuing training in the current mode.

High - the organism is in the stage of supercompensation, which needs to be used for further intensive training or racing.
